Changping District Sports Bureau organizes the training and assessment of swimming lifeguards’ vocational skills (rotation training).

In order to strengthen the safety management of swimming lifesaving in Changping District, consolidate and improve the skill level of lifeguards in swimming venues, unify the qualification standards of employees and ensure the safety of citizens’ swimming and fitness. On September 13th, the swimming lifeguard vocational skills training assessment (rotation training) sponsored by Changping District Sports Bureau was held in Changping District Gymnasium.

It is understood that this swimming lifeguard vocational skills training assessment (rotation training) is held in two phases, each of which lasts for three days. The first phase lasts from September 13 to September 15, and the second phase lasts from September 16 to September 18, with more than 100 trainees. The content of rotation training is mainly to teach the working skills of swimming lifeguards in detail through theoretical teaching and on-site demonstration, including underwater fighting, cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills, emergency handling and so on.

At the training ceremony, Zhang Baoli, deputy director of Changping District Sports Bureau, pointed out in his speech that the purpose of this vocational skills training assessment (rotation training) is to further standardize the order and management of the sports fitness market, improve the professional quality of employees, strengthen the safety awareness of swimming lifeguards, improve the skill level of swimming lifeguards in major fitness swimming venues, and better protect people’s lives.

As the situation of epidemic prevention and control continues to improve, the swimming project business units in Changping District are opening to the outside world one after another. As swimming is a high-risk sport, besides strengthening the public’s safety awareness and technical skills, skills training and management for swimming lifeguards are also very important.

This time, the professional skills training and assessment of the swimmers engaged in safety supervision is not only responsible for the units and enterprises engaged in the swimming industry themselves, but also for the safety of the majority of swimmers. Through the six-day assessment rotation training, Changping District Sports Bureau will further strengthen the management of swimming events in Changping District, improve the professional quality of swimmers, and create a safe and secure swimming venue for the majority of swimmers.
